A solid composite fencing slat
by mixing aluminium and composite WPC slats
IDEAL is a fencing concept composed of solid composite cross-cutting slats and a very sturdy aluminum structure. The posts are transformed into H , U and L posts by means of a 24mm U-profile which is screwed on their wall.
The aluminium profiles, consisting of an interlocking slat and a finishing profile, are combined with the composite slats, which are guaranteed for 30 years against discoloration and stains.
The screwed, very rigid structure of the whole unit allows it to withstand the weather and provides a stable fence over time.
This concept can be adapted to all configurations. An aluminum gate completes this range.
There are 2 ways to fix the posts in the ground:
1 - Placed on a concrete slab.
Fix the 60mm diameter and 60cm long stainless steel post foot on its plate using 4 stainless steel lag bolts (not supplied).
2 - Installation on a soft ground.
Dig a hole 80cm deep and 30cm in diameter, then seal with concrete the aluminium post foot 75cm into the ground.
The spacing between the supports will depend on the length of the chosen boards: 180 + 11 = 191cm or 200 + 11 = 211cm.
The first rows of aluminum slats must be inserted into each other in the posts previously equipped with the 24mm U-rails. These blades must be firmly screwed to the rail at each end with a 4.8x13mm stainless steel screw.
The composite slats are then inserted with a 3x16mm joining tab between them to keep them together. These boards must remain free at each end to allow for expansion due to temperature variations (1mm/ml).
For aesthetic reasons, the fence ends is the addition of 2 aluminum slats. The goal is to finish flush with the post. To do so, we have to keep a 21cm gap at the top of the last board. Cut it back if necessary.
Fix the 24mm U-shaped rail on an aluminum slat and insert the created complex: rail + slat and then a finishing slat. These 2 last boards must be firmly fixed with a stainless steel screw at both end.
