Developed by a team of wood specialist engineers, the Cobra® fastener system is the fruit of several years of studies and continuous improvement.
It was originally designed to provide a reliable fastener solution for composite deck boards by preventing as much movement from the board as possible. Simple, efficient and durable, the benefits of this system will ensure the successful installation of your decking.
Inserted between boards, the Cobra® clip is coated with a powder-coated matte black paint to prevent light reflections and to better blend into the shadows of the boards.
Thanks to its hooks, which are the deck's invisible fasteners, the Cobra® clip efficiently holds your deck boards in place.
No need for clamps, vices or board spacers, the Cobra® clip reduces the building time of your deck by at least 30%, compared to a screwed installation.
Only a single screw is necessary per clip and thanks to its self-drilling screw, just a simple end piece (sold with clips and screws) is necessary to fasten the Cobra® fastener onto the joist. The hooks holds the assembly in place for easy screwing.
Thanks to Cobra® products, there are no more apparent, often poorly aligned screw heads, which hurt bare feet. Say goodbye to wood splinters and cracks at the end of boards.
Developed in partnership with the Laboratoire Mécanique in Lille (France), Cobra® fasteners display excellent manufacturing qualities and unrivalled life span: Powder-coated 304-grade stainless steel ensures anti-corrosion properties and rapid and easy installation. It is aesthetic and invisible due to its black colour, which does not reflect light and provides constant spacing between removable boards.
The Start/End clips may be used as a complement to Cobra® 20 or 24 clips to produce a deck without any visible screws. These stainless steel clips are offered in 30-unit bags with countersunk head stainless steel screws
Especially developed with its 6 mm narrow head for our Cobra® 20-24 clips. The special stainless steel screw for metal applications provides effective fastening on aluminium joists.
It is offered in 90-part bags as a complement to Cobra® 20-24 clips
Our fasteners have been subjected to extreme mechanical tests, conducted in partnership with the Cetim Cermat laboratory. These tests have helped us obtain a stripping resistance of 260 kg and a shear resistance of 650 kg (test results available on demand).

A special end piece with an elongated head is screwed in (or unscrewed) between two boards and is provided in the trim. This offers a significant advantage when replacing a defective board or accessing cables under your decking without having to remove the entire assembly.
It is also possible to use rivets; however, the entire deck will no longer be removable.
1 - you unscrew the clips
2 - you remove clips on the ends
3 - you remove the old board
4 - you install the new board
5 - you put the clips back
6 - you screw in the new board
Cobra® 20-24 clips are offered in packages of 90 clips. One package can be used to create decks of about 4.5 m2 with a 40 cm centre-to-centre distance between joists.
These small packages are more flexible in order to adapt to your needs.
